Mikhail Khorenko was born in 1993 in St. Petersburg (Russia). He studied Molecular Science with the focus on Nanoscience at the University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany, 2011-2016) and completed his master’s thesis at the Imperial College London (UK, 2016). Since October 2016 he is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Dr. Claus Feldmann at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany).
His research interests focus on the synthesis of novel multimodal inorganic-organic hybrid nanoparticles suitable for combined therapeutic and diagnostic applications, inter alia, for cancer therapy and MDR bacteria treatment. He is part of the DFG-funded graduate school „GRK2039 – Molecular Architectures for Fluorescent Cell Imaging“ since April 2017.
